Blend seasonings together and lather on to chuck roast. Marinate overnight. Wrap roast in foil, then wrap again tightly. You want the roast to cook in its own juices, that's going to help break it down and tenderize it.
In a roasting pan, place chuck roast in center and bake in oven for 5 hours.
Remove from oven and unwrap roast, being sure to reserve any liquid. With a fork shred your meat and enjoy on tacos, nachos, or your favorite Mexican dish.
